Applied Environmental Science Program
The Applied Environmental Science Program (AESP) was established at Miner Institute in 1972 by the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. The basic model for teaching is "Show me, and I’ll look. Tell me, and I’ll listen. Involve me, and I’ll learn."
Agriculture and the Environment
Fall 2004 marked the initial offering of our newest component of the Applied Environmental Science Program. The goal of the course is to educate students in the basics of farming (predominately dairy) from crops, soil fertility, milk and waste production to composting, CAFO regulations and environmental impacts. |
